Hello all!
I’m back from the Camino, Germany, Austria and Turkey. I’m back in Switzerland and I can say that I’m not the same person that was here over 2 months ago.
This is just a quick hello to letย you know what’s coming…
I’m going to be writing a book of my experience on the Camino. I tell people that it the best thing I’ve ever done in my entire life and the worst. I had many physical challenges which helped me to grow both emotionally and spiritually on my journey. It was touch an go at one point whether I would complete the Camino.
Over then next few weeks, I’ll be posting the journey on here for those of you who I’m not friends with on Facebook or Instagram.
I’m excited to be reliving the experience again as I post and reflect the 42 days I was on the way.
The journey begins now.
Hi Robin…your mom just forwarded me a link to your site.. I wish you well and look forward to all your posts and your book.. what a marvellous life experience for you… admire you for doing something most never think of doing. Life can be so wonderful and interesting. Best of luck and many Blessings for a safe journey. Hugs ?
Thanks for commenting and stopping by Donna! Life is full of ups and downs. Just like the Camino ๐
I look forward to reliving the journey with you., and what a journey it was!
Oops posted same message twice. xxx
Welcome back to your new world!
Thanks Raj! I’m actually sitting in the urology ward right now in a Swiss hospital waiting to be rid of a kidney stone. It comes on the Camino (spoiler alert!).
Oh no! At least you’re in the right place for that. I hope that goes smashingly (haha). Do they still use sonic vibrations to smash kidney stones? I’m tempted to call that modern medicine but I recall watching a video of that about 20 years ago. Happy recoveries. All the best.
I think a kidney stone trumps the blister I received after walking > 120,000 steps in Venice over 3 days in October. I met a few folks enroute to Europe that were planning on doing the Camino from Porto, have you heard of this approach?
Yes I have! I was actually doing the french route when a friend of mine was doing to Portugal route. We made a date with some of the people we met on the camino to meet for the Portugal route in 2023. ๐ Oh and hang tight… I don’t want to spoil it for you but blisters were massive part of my journey along with a few other set backs. Stay tuned!
